Refund Policy

Babyworth Customer Information

Information about returns, refunds, change-of-mind requests and your rights when purchasing from Babyworth.

01

Refund & Return Overview

Babyworth wants customers to shop with confidence.

Returns and refunds are handled differently depending on whether you have simply changed your mind or whether there is a problem with the product.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law apply independently of Babyworth's voluntary change-of-mind return policy.
02

Change-of-Mind Returns

Babyworth may accept eligible change-of-mind returns at our discretion, subject to the conditions set out in this policy.

Change-of-mind returns apply where the product is not faulty and you simply decide that you no longer want the item, selected the wrong product or otherwise wish to return it for personal reasons.

Please contact Babyworth before returning any item so that we can confirm whether the product is eligible for a change-of-mind return and provide return instructions.

03

Conditions for Change-of-Mind Returns

Unless otherwise agreed by Babyworth, an eligible change-of-mind return should be:

  • Unused and in resalable condition
  • Returned with all original parts, accessories and instructions
  • Returned in its original box or packaging where reasonably required
  • Free from damage caused after delivery
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

Some products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns due to hygiene, health, safety or other product-specific considerations.

These change-of-mind conditions do not apply where a customer is exercising rights relating to a faulty product under Australian Consumer Law.
04

Return Shipping Costs

For an approved change-of-mind return, the customer is generally responsible for arranging and paying the cost of returning the item to Babyworth.

The customer is responsible for the item while it is being returned and we recommend using a tracked and appropriately insured delivery service for higher-value products.

Original delivery charges are generally not refundable for a change-of-mind return unless Babyworth agrees otherwise.

Where an order originally included delivery at no separately stated charge, Babyworth may, where clearly disclosed and permitted by law, take into account the actual outbound delivery cost when assessing a voluntary change-of-mind refund.

These provisions apply only to voluntary change-of-mind returns. They do not limit reimbursement of reasonable return costs where a product fails to meet a consumer guarantee under Australian Consumer Law.
05

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products

If a product is faulty, damaged, unsafe, significantly different from its description or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee, please contact Babyworth as soon as reasonably possible.

Depending on the nature of the problem, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy under Australian Consumer Law.

We may request photographs, video, proof of purchase or other reasonable information so that the issue can be assessed.

A faulty product does not need to be returned in its original packaging in order for Australian Consumer Law rights to apply.

06

Major Product Failures

Where a product has a major failure under Australian Consumer Law, the customer may be entitled to choose between an appropriate replacement or refund.

For problems that are not major failures, Babyworth may be entitled to provide an appropriate repair or other remedy within a reasonable period.

07

How Refunds Are Paid

Where a refund has been approved, Babyworth will generally issue the refund to the original payment method used for the purchase.

If the original payment method is no longer available, please contact our team so that an appropriate alternative can be discussed.

The amount refunded will depend on the circumstances of the return and any rights that apply under Australian Consumer Law.

08

Partial Refunds

In some circumstances, Babyworth and the customer may agree that a partial refund is an appropriate resolution.

Where a partial refund is agreed, the agreed amount will generally be returned to the original payment method.

A voluntary partial refund agreement does not remove any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

09

Refund Processing Times

Once an approved return has been received and assessed, Babyworth will generally process an approved refund within 5 business days.

After Babyworth processes the refund, additional time may be required for the amount to appear in your account depending on your bank, credit card provider or payment service.

10

Australian Consumer Law

Products sold by Babyworth come with consumer guarantees that apply under Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or modified.
