Warranty Policy
Information about product warranties, damaged-on-arrival claims, manufacturer warranties and how to request assistance with a faulty product.
Warranty Overview
Babyworth provides warranty support for eligible products purchased through our store.
Depending on the circumstances, a warranty claim may fall under one of two main categories:
- Damage on Arrival (DOA) – where an item arrives damaged, broken or not in proper working order.
- Manufacturer or Supplier Warranty – where a product develops a fault during the applicable warranty period after initially being received in working condition.
Damage on Arrival (DOA)
A Damage on Arrival claim may apply where a product arrives broken, damaged or appears not to be in proper working order when first used.
Customers should inspect their order as soon as possible after delivery.
When contacting us, please include your order details together with photographs or video showing the issue where possible.
Claims submitted after the initial 72-hour period may require additional assessment and may be treated under the applicable manufacturer or supplier warranty instead.
Manufacturer & Supplier Warranty
A manufacturer or supplier warranty may apply where a product was received in good working condition but develops a fault during normal use within the applicable warranty period.
Warranty periods and conditions may vary between products, manufacturers and suppliers.
Please refer to the individual product description, warranty card, instruction manual or other documentation supplied with the product for specific warranty information.
Making a Warranty Claim
If you believe your product is faulty, please contact Babyworth with the following information:
- Your full name
- Your order number
- The product name
- A clear description of the problem
- Photographs or video of the issue where appropriate
- A copy of your tax invoice or other proof of purchase
Depending on the product and warranty arrangements, we may ask you to contact the manufacturer or supplier directly, or we may assist with coordinating the warranty process.
Proof of Purchase
Proof of purchase is required for warranty claims.
Your Babyworth tax invoice, order confirmation or another acceptable record of purchase may be used to confirm the transaction.
Manufacturer warranty coverage may apply only to the original purchaser and may not be transferable unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer or supplier.
Warranty Exclusions
Manufacturer or supplier warranties may not cover faults or damage caused by circumstances such as:
- Normal wear and tear
- Accidental damage
- Misuse or improper use of the product
- Failure to follow product instructions
- Incorrect assembly or installation
- Unauthorised repairs or modifications
- Damage caused by improper storage or maintenance
Specific exclusions may vary depending on the relevant manufacturer or supplier warranty.
Australian Consumer Rights
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law may apply independently from any manufacturer or supplier warranty.
Where applicable, the appropriate remedy may include repair, replacement, refund or another remedy required under Australian law.
